This is the easiest dip you will ever make and it is always a hit at parties. Sometimes I feel bad when people rave over it thinking I made something special when really its only a few ingredients and takes no time at all!!
1 8oz bar of cream cheese, softened (I’ve used Philadelphia brand and Publix brand cream cheese both tasted great)
1 cooked shredded chicken breast (typically I just boil and shred but I know others use the canned chicken breast, I believe about 2-3 cans)
Franks hot buffalo sauce about 1/3-1/2 the bottle depending on how spicy you like it
About 1 cup mozzerella cheese
1/4-1/2 cup ranch
blue cheese crumbles (optional)
Crackers or tortilla chips for dipping
Preheat oven to 350. Pour buffalo sauce over chicken and mix until well coated. I typically pour some mix and taste until its the spice level if what I want. Put chicken mixture to the side. Spread cream cheese in the bottom of an 8×8 glass casserole dish, if you want to add a little ranch flovor I pour some over the cream cheese layer and spread, then layer chicken on top, sprinkle on mozzerella then blue cheese if you are using. I like the blue cheese but a lot of people are not fond of it so sometimes I don’t use it at all or only do half with blue cheese.
Cover with foil and bake for 30minutes.
My husband requested I try to make it by mixing everything together. We did like it better this way but it didn’t look as good since the buffalo sauce made everything look orange 😉 So I will still be making the layered version to take to parties.
Preheat oven to 350. Mix chicken and buffalo sauce as indicated above, set to the side. Using an electric mixer mix cream cheese and ranch, if using, until smooth either way use the electric mixer to soften up the cream cheese. Stir in mozzerella, fold in chicken and sauce mixture, spread in a 8×8 casserole sprinkle blue cheese on top if desired (you can also mix it in, I did it this way because Vince doesn’t like blue cheese).
Cover with foil and bake 30minutes.
Enjoy and let me know what you think and your own twists you added to the recipe 🙂
