This is a recipe for the other cookie I made this year to give as gifts. I tweeked a few cookie recipes to get this one, so I decided to name them Fallyn cookies 🙂 My husband LOVED them. I hope you do too, let me know if you try them.
1cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup Hershey’s unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
4oz Ghirardelli semi-sweet chocolate bar (half chopped into chunks, half finely chopped)
About half of an 11oz bag of Ghirardelli white chocolate chips
1stick of unsalted sweet cream butter
2 large eggs
1tsp pure vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 325. Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt; set aside. Melt the finely chopped semi-sweet chocolate with the butter in a small bowl set over a pan of simmering water. Transfer melted chocoalte and butter to a larger mixing bowl. Add sugar, eggs and vanilla mix on medium speed until combined. reduce mixer speed to low and slowly add the flour mixture. Fold in the chocolate chunks and chocolate chips.
Using two spoons drop batter into about a 1-1.5in round onto cookie sheets lined with parchment paper, keep cookies about 2in apart. Bake cookies until they have flattened and begin to crack, about 12minutes. Transfer parchment paper and let cool. Makes about 32 cookies. ENJOY 😉
